Test organisation and sitting rules

  1. During an academic year, four sittings of the lecture test in PDS are organised:
    • 1st sitting, on a date determined by Prof. Napieralski;
    • 2nd sitting, during the pending examination period (if possible, date is determined by voting of students concerned);
    • 3rd and 4th sittings, within the following examination period (dates announced one week before the start of the examination period).
    Regardless of customary nomenclature, according to the study programme and to the course description sheet, the test does not constitute an exam within the meaning of Study Regulations. This means that i.a. the 1st sitting is not a “zeroth sitting” mentioned in § 16.7 of Study Regulations.
  2. Specific dates as well as voting options are published exclusively in the Announcements section below. Students who have not passed the test yet are obliged to follow these announcements.
  3. It is not possible to sit the test individually on other dates except for documented important personal issues.
  4. During the test:
    • in accordance with § 14.9 of Study Regulations, you may be asked to show your student card while taking the test;
    • your paper must be written in blue or black permanent ink (e.g. with a pen or a ballpoint, as opposed to a pencil or a crayon);
    • numerical results must be given in decimal form, therefore a calculator may be necessary;
    • it is forbidden to use any equipment with image, sound or text memory, including cell phones and programmable calculators, no matter the way or purpose.
  5. It is the laboratory coordinator who is responsible for organising the 2nd through 4th sittings.
  6. Every student can take part in the 2nd sitting. The final mark will be the highest one among those obtained at the particular sittings.
  7. The material scope is given in the Scope section below; it may be updated each year on the day when the 2nd sitting date is announced.
